This privacy notice applies to all HOMECHECK and DELISH customers and explains how we use any information that we collect from you and what we do with it. We collect two types of data and information:

Non-personal information
Non-personal Information is collected and aggregated from people using this website and includes technical information transmitted by your device, such as:
- unique device identifiers (e.g. MAC address and UUID)
- IP address
- geolocation data
- certain software and hardware information (e.g. the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time, etc.)
- user website activity e.g. pages viewed, clicks, etc.
We can not identity a User from this non-personal Information.
Website cookies
Most websites use small text files called cookies that download to your device when you visit a website, and which store information about your preferences and actions, making the site easier for you to use.
This website doesn't use web cookies.
Non-personal information processing
This website is hosted, operated and created (using a website builder) by IONOS Cloud Ltd. a company registered in England and Wales under company number 3953678 with registered offices at Discovery House, 154 Southgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2EX, United Kingdom. IONOS Cloud Ltd processes collected and aggregated non-personal Information and uses it to operate its hosting and website builder services.
Personal information
We collect personal information directly from our customers in the process of booking one or more of our services.
Provision of services and goods
We collect or use the following information to provide services and goods, including delivery:
- Names and contact details
- Addresses
- Payment details (including card or bank information for transfers and direct debits)
- Health and safety information
- Information relating to compliments or complaints
Our lawful bases for collecting and using personal information to provide services and goods are:
- Consent
- Contract
- Legitimate interest:
- To be able to carry out our business and communicate with our clients, their representatives or associated service providers in relation to the client task.
- To safely and efficiently carry out client tasks and perform a risk analysis of those tasks.
Operation of customer accounts and guarantees
We collect and use the following information for the operation of customer accounts and guarantees:
- Names and contact details
- Addresses
- Payment details (including card or bank information for transfers and direct debits)
- Purchase history
- Account information, including registration details
- Information used for security purposes
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for the operation of customer accounts and guarantees are:
- Consent
- Contract
- Legitimate interest:
- To be able to process a payment for the client task
- To retain a record for HMRC
Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to finalise our transaction with you.
As a sole trader
to fulfil our obligations to HMRC we
hold financial records for a minimum of five years, following the 31st of January submission deadline for the relevant tax year.
Personal information processing
We use an:
- Apple Mac computer to create documents, some of which may include your personal information, and which is securely backed-up to Apple's iCloud service data centres
- Microsoft's Outlook.com is our email provider, which is backed up to Microsoft's data centres
Others we share personal information with:
- Organisations we’re legally obliged to share personal information with
- Emergency services (where necessary)
Your data protection rights
The Data Protection Act 2018 is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), under which all customers of HOMECHECK and DELISH have the following rights:
- Right to be informed
- You have have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal information.
- Right of access
- You have the right to ask us for and receive a copy of your personal information.
- Right to rectification
- You have the right to ask us to rectify personal data you think is inaccurate, and to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Right to erasure
- You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances; but not if we need to process your personal information to comply with our legal obligations to HMRC.
- Right to restriction of processing
- You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances; we may be legally required to store your personal information, but you may request that we don't use it - for example, if you no longer wanted to be contacted by us.
- Right to object to processing
- You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances; for example, being used for direct marketing.
- Right to data portability
- You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal data you gave us to you, in certain circumstances, and by a secure method of transmission.
- Right to withdraw consent
- When we use consent as our lawful basis you have the right to withdraw your consent.
How to exercise your rights or make a complaint

You don’t usually need to pay a fee to exercise your rights. If you make a request, we have one calendar month to respond to you. After making a make a data protection rights request or raising a complaint, if you remain unhappy with how we’ve used your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):
